Call for nominations to the Apra Missouri/Kansas Board

The following board positions are up for election for a two year term to run July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023.

President – chairs all meetings; acts as a spokesperson of the membership at large; sets the agenda for the board meetings; is responsible for the enforcement of the by-laws; will cast the tie-breaking vote in the case of a tie vote of the board; appoints, if necessary, members of the committees or authorizes other board members to make these appointments; serves as an ex-officio member of all standing committees; works with board members to recruit new members and formulate strategies to retain membership; chairs the nominating committee and oversees the election process of the Apra MO-KAN board of directors; delivers to her/his successor in office all pertinent materials for which she/he is responsible.

Vice President/Secretary – assumes all duties of the president during the president’s absence; assists the president; performs yearly audit of chapter finances; coordinates the activities of all special committees; keeps a record of all meetings of the board of directors; distributes to members of the board copies of these records of proceedings; prepares and maintains correspondence as directed by the president and/or the board of directors; assists in record-keeping and reporting as it pertains to the national conference unless another party is appointed by the president to do so; works with board members to recruit new members and formulate strategies to retain membership; performs other duties as may be assigned by the president and/or the board of directors; delivers to her/his successor in office all pertinent materials for which she/he is responsible.

Communications Director – maintains and updates Apra MO-KAN website and social media accounts; coordinates chapter communications; reviews branding; coordinates distribution of news releases or advertisements relating to national or local activities; works with other board members to recruit new members and formulate strategies to retain membership; delivers to her/his successor in office all pertinent materials for which she/he is responsible.
